Many noted celebrities are buried on the beautiful grounds of Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills including Bette Davis, Lucille Ball, Telly Savalas, Liberace, Lou Rawls, Marvin Gaye (cremated at Forest Lawn, his ashes scattered into the Pacific Ocean) & his brother Frankie Gaye, Melvin Franklin of The Temptations, Fred “Rerun” Berry, Scatman Crothers, Freddie Prinze, John Ritter, Andy Gibb, Jack Webb, Stan Laurel, Ricky Nelson, Sandra Dee, Steve Allen & Rod Steiger.

We’ve learned Michael Jackson’s family will celebrate Michael with a private service on Tuesday July 7 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn followed by a motorcade procession to the Staples Center complex in downtown Los Angeles for a public memorial.

The 20,000-seat Staples center is where Michael last rehearsed for his This Is It concert series, Michael died less than 24-hours later. See our post “Michael Jackson’s last rehearsal video & words from big bro Jermaine” for an intimate look at Michael’s last rehearsal.

Sources say AEG Live, which owns the Staples Center and the adjacent Nokia Theatre, will use both facilities and the surrounding plaza for a memorial service on Tuesday July 7.

Gigantic screens will be placed outside the location in order to enable fans who can’t get inside the venue to follow the funeral.

Details on how ticketing will be handled also haven’t been disclosed.

Jermaine Jackson was very involved in helping his brother create the This Is It tour. Jermaine tells CNN he wishes he could say he and Michael spoke everyday and that his little brother came to him for advice - however, sadly, that was not the case.

Jermaine did say he has been intimately involved in all Michael’s solo performances.  This concert was the first time Jermaine served as the vocal director.

He says Michael was in a very “up mood” during rehearsals, actually more goofy then he’d seen Michael in years. He said the dancers on stage rehearsing with MJ were in their 20s but the only person you could see was Michael - he was so alive and shining.

Just hours after he last spoke with Michael  Jermaine heard his mom crying on the phone saying Michael was dead, Jermaine says it took a few days to actually feel & believe his brother died.

Like a true, loyal older brother Jermaine says he wishes it were him, instead of Michael, that died. Jermaine says Michael was a gift from God and it seems his little brother was taken way too soon.

Asked about seeing Michael after he died Jermaine says:

“I wanted to see Michael, and I wanted to see my brother, and seeing him there lifeless and breathless was very emotional for me, but I held myself together because I know he’s very much alive.”

and

“His spirit is [alive], and that [his body] was just a shell, but I kissed him on his forehead and I hugged him, and I touched him and I said, `Michael, I’ll never leave you. You’ll never leave me.’”

Jermaine tells CNN he wants people to know that Michael was so very happy the night before he died, he was like a kid in a candy store seeing the show come together. Jermaine says that’s how he chooses to remember the events around his brother’s death.

Jermaine will be with Larry King live tonight on CNN at Neverland Ranch.

Multi-platinum selling, Grammy Award winning artist Lil Wayne regrets to announce the postponement of his forthcoming European shows due to illness.

Wayne, his band and crew arrived in Europe with full intention of performing but were forced to cancel the dates due to doctor-mandated rest.

Management is actively working on rescheduling the shows and expects to have a new set of dates confirmed for later in year.

Lil’ Wayne extends an apology to his fans for the short notice of this postponement but looks forward to returning for the performances and visitation with his fans. Fans should hold onto their tickets and wait for news of rescheduled dates.

Following the private service at Forest Lawn, a motorcade will proceed the Staples Center complex in downtown Los Angeles for a public memorial.

We understand the family hasn’t decided whether the memorial will be at the Staples Center or its smaller Nokia Theater, a decision will be announced shortly.

June was a competitive month. That Crack family DJs put in some major work. Multiple DJs were nominated for our monthly mixtape DJ award based on Mixtapes released, exclusives, covers & intros. The viral mixtape tracking tool created additional interest & more votes were cast in June than any previous month.

At one point we saw crazy vote swings. I’m very impressed to report the DJs affected by “voter-gate” contacted that crack asking us to check into the votes, they didn’t want to win if the votes were not real.

Various back-end stats helped us identify a block of time during which the votes were likely manipulated. We removed the suspect votes and found 4 DJs were clearly the top vote getters of the month.

We created a forty-eight hour 4 DJ run-off. Run-off voting started this morning, July 2 & will continue for 48 hours.

The run-off votes will determine the That Crack DJ of June.

It was a very competitive mixtape competition for the month of June. Multiple DJs were nominated based on Mixtapes released , exclusives , covers , intros , and now the viral mixtape work being put in which resulted in more votes than any month being cast. But  we have decided to have a four DJ runoff which will run for 48 hours to decide the winner. ThatCrack is doing this because there were some crazy vote swings going on during the voting process which we decided were manipulated and we cant have that we run a fair competition and we will keep it that way. We want a decisive winner and this is how we have decided to do it. We have took the top 4 vote getters which are all deserving to win and this will decide it.
