Beyonce and Jay-Z are reportedly making plans to tie the knot soon and official papers have been filed to prove it.

Gossip sites have rumored the super couple have been engaged, married and soon-to-be married for the latter part of their five-year relationship, but this time there’s proof.

The two actually took out a marriage license yesterday morning (Apr. 1) in Scarsdale, N.Y., according to People magazine. The document is good for 60 days.

A rep for Beyoncé had “No comment” and Jay-Z’s spokesperson couldn’t be reached.
Jay and Bey have been dating since 2002, though both have been very private about their relationship. Rumors of the two being an item first began to swirl after the singer appeared on Jay’s track “03 Bonnie & Clyde,” and he returned the favor, collabing on Beyonce’s solo smash “Crazy in Love.”

In a Dec 2006 interview with InStyle, Bey said, “You can’t rush a man into anything - whether it’s a relationship, marriage or having children.”

Most recently, it was rumored that the two were planning a wedding in the Caribbean. Those claims were denied by the artists’ reps.

The couple has two months to wed before the marriage license expires.

The news that I am about to share comes as absolutely no shock to me whatsoever. Everyone was talking about T.I. and Grand Hustle, as well as his almost certain prison sentencing. Currently, there is no active marketing or promoting of the other artists on the Grand Hustle roster. I’m also hearing that investors are nervous in light of the fact that T.I. isn’t able to promote his product which means decreased sales.And we at Hiphopspy know nobody is really buying cds anymore, it gets worse everyday.Most of the major labels will fold soon,so does it really matter about grand hustle. Look, you all know I have been saying since day one that I feel that T.I. is going down. My opinion about the situation isn’t based on any personal vendetta against the pint sized MC. If I were working for a small company and my boss got arrested and there was mounting evidence against him, I’d be looking for work elsewhere. That lil’ stunt Kanye pulled was hot- the sonning the Grammy “wrap it up” music. But will the rapper get fined for overextending the time limit? Kanye got the Grammy, but the Grammy people get paid off those pricey ads that run. Well, they say when Kanye went overtime some 34 seconds, he cut into somebody’s time and now he must be fined. He hasn’t been fined yet, but they are saying that dude is going to get hit with a $100k fine. Apparently, the board of the Grammys is going to meet and make a decision. This has never happened in the past, but Kanye was pretty brazen to the “wrap it up.” Well, you can’t tell him nothing, right?
